Radiation drive temperature measurements in aluminum via radiation-driven shock waves: Modeling using self-similar solutions

چکیده
We study the phenomena of radiative-driven shock waves using a semi-analytic model based on self similar solutions radiative hydrodynamic problem. The relation between hohlraum drive temperature $T_{\mathrm{Rad}}$ and resulting ablative $D_S$ is well-known method for estimation temperature. However, various studies yield different scaling relations $D_S$, simulations. In [T. Shussman S.I. Heizler, Phys. Plas., 22, 082109 (2015)] we have derived full analytic subsonic heat wave, that include both ablation wave regions. Using this self-similar approach derive here $T_{\mathrm{Rad}}(D_S)$ aluminium, detailed Hugoniot including transport effects. By our model, find spread $\approx 40$eV in curve, as function profile's duration its temporal profile. Our agrees with experiments simulations data, explaining difference appear literature.

Self-Similar Solutions for Weak Shock Reflection
We present numerical solutions of a two-dimensional Riemann problem for the unsteady transonic small disturbance equations that provides an asymptotic description of the Mach reflection of weak shock waves. We develop a new numerical scheme to solve the equations in selfsimilar coordinates and use local grid refinement to resolve the solution in the reflection region. The solutions contain a re...
متن کاملTemperature measurements using multicolor pyrometry in thermal radiation heating environments.
Temperature measurements are important for thermal-structural experiments in the thermal radiation heating environments such as used for thermal-structural stress analyses. This paper describes the use of multicolor pyrometry for the measurements of diffuse surfaces in thermal radiation environments that eliminates the effects of background radiation reflections and unknown emissivities based o...
متن کاملShock Wave Solutions for Radiation Hydrodynamics
This study describes a semi-analytic solution of planar radiative shock waves in which the radiation model is grey nonequilibrium diffusion. The solution may be used to verify radiation-hydrodynamics codes. Comparisons are made with the equilibrium diffusion solutions of Lowrie and Rauenzahn [1]. Although the physics of radiative shocks are fairly well known, previous solutions have been approx...
متن کاملScaling, self-similar solutions and shock waves for V-shaped field potentials.
We investigate a (1+1)-dimensional nonlinear field theoretic model with the field potential V(phi) = absolute value of phi. It can be obtained as the universal small amplitude limit in a class of models with potentials which are symmetrically V-shaped at their minima, or as a continuum limit of certain mechanical system with an infinite number of degrees of freedom. We point out that the model ...
متن کاملSelf-similar Solutions for the Emergence of Energy Varying Shock Waves from Plane-parallel Atmospheres
We present a self-similar solution to describe the propagation of a shock wave whose energy is deposited or lost at the front. Both of the propagation of the shock wave in a medium having a power-law density profile and the expansion of the medium to a vacuum after the shock breakout are described with a Lagrangian coordinate. The Chapman-Jouguet detonation is found to accelerate the medium mos...
